Charles-Ferdinand d'Artois, Duke of Berry (1778-1820). Important bas-relief sculpted in marble, representing the Duke of Berry in profile. Slight restorations. Presented on an octagonal wooden panel painted in imitation of marble. Probably made following his assassination by a stabbing as he left the Opera House in the rue de Richelieu, on Sunday 13 February 1820. H. 58 cm. Frame : H. 89 x W. 64 cm.
