A group of five Chinese jade carvings
The lot comprises: a pale celadon jade ruyi-shaped hairpin, pale celadon jade foliate-rim tray, a celadon jade plaque carved with a boy playing a flute and auspicious emblems, a pale celadon jade cicada-form toggle, and a celadon jade openwork carving of a spider in a web, the reverse is carved with the Eight Daoist emblems, bagua.
Condition: The hairpin, a small chip to the lower tip; dimensions: 12.7 cm. long
The tray, with chips to the petals and to the base; dimensions 11.8 cm. width 7.6 cm.
The plaque, a tiny bruise to the upper edge; dimensions length 5.0 cm. width 3.5 cm.
The cicada, appears to be in overall good condition; dimensions diameter 4.5 cm.
The carving of a spider, appears to be in overall good condition; dimensions length 5.5 cm. width 3.7 cm. height 1.5 cm.
