Cylindrical earthenware pot on covered pedestal, decorated in blue monochrome on a white ground with a Latin pharmaceutical inscription scrolled on a phylactery, framed by fruits, a mascaron and squared foliage.
First quarter of the 18th century (a chip restored to the neck and lid knob restored).
H : 30 cm
A similar model with a different inscription is in the Musée Arbaud in Aix-en-Provence. These pieces were made by Pierre Clerissy for the pharmacy at Hôpital Saint-Jacques.
