Officer's saber of light cavalry type An IX. Mounting with the hunter out of gilded brass and bone. Oval pommel assembled in the guard. Guard with two branches decorated with the features, interdependent of the jointing bow, Cross in fine and curved quillon. Fuse covered with two plates of chased bone. Curved blade with throat, engraved, gilded and blued in the third. Silver plated brass scabbard with two large brass bracelets and suspension rings. Traces of oxidation. Length of the blade : 84 cm. Total length: 102 cm. FRANCE, First Empire period.
