A seal matrix with hexagonal handle, triple collar and trefoil suspension loop, oval die with '*SAVNTA MA[ ]R[ ]RETA' Latin legend with reversed N, portraying St Margaret of Antioch rising from the mouth of a dragon, cross-tipped staff in one hand, palm frond in the field, beaded line around; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 11.7 grams, 26 mm (1 in.) Found whilst searching with a metal detector near Walkington, East Yorkshire, UK. Property of a Yorkshire gentleman. Accompanied by an illustrated descriptive text dated 18 October 2005.
