Rare and important maternity, called hàrberé, linked to the cult of Màar, representing a woman seated on a stool nursing her child, the prominent lips decorated with a labret, the powerful face, a headdress in a grooved cap, the ankles decorated with bracelets. The child is clinging to his mother, sucking on her left breast and grasping the other breast with one hand. This particularly vigorous and expressive style is common to other terracotta sculptures reproduced in Piet Meyer's reference work: Kunst und Religion der Lobi, Musuem Rietberg, Zürich, p.159, fig. 213 and 214.
