A rosewood veneer and boxwood fillet chest of drawers, opening to five drawers on three rows. It rests on small curved feet. Louis XV period. Stamped: P. Roussel with J.M.E. Beautiful ornamentation of gilt bronze such as handles, entries of locks, lamp-heads and falls. Top of red breccia marble with throat. (Small accidents and missing, restorations of uses) H : 84 x W : 130 x D : 65 cm Roussel (1723-1782) Cabinetmaker. Mastered on August 21, 1745. A very skilful maker, Roussel left an abundant and diverse production of excellent quality. Stamped, P. ROUSSEL with punch of jurande. Louis XV period. Red breccia top and bronze trim, bring back.
