‘MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPE’ AND CALLIGRAPHY BY PU TONG (1877-1952) Ink, gold foil, and watercolors on paper. The painting depicting a house with three figures, a family of husband, wife, and child, beside a cluster of large trees in front of a vast mountain landscape. The calligraphy with a poem originally written by Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322). Inscriptions: To the left of the poem, signed ‘Pu Tong’ and square seal ‘Pu Tong He yin’. Top right of the painting, signed ‘Pu Tong’ and square seal ‘Pu Tong He yin’. Provenance: Italian private collection. Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear, creasing, and little soiling.
