Copper-engraved military plan, including parts completed in watercolour and handwritten notes, representing the situation and tactical perspectives of the siege of Charleroi led by Vauban.
It details the situation of the French army one month after the start of the siege: number, strength and positioning of mortar batteries, targets and planned attacks, attack from the right or from Darné, attack from the left or from La Garenne.
Vauban, who was on the spot and directed the siege of the city, was probably not a stranger to this plan.
