Schreiber 3476. - Part of the fourth Koberger edition with the commentary of Nicolaus de Lyra, so first used in 1485. - The schematic wood engravings used for the first time in the edition of 1493 on which it is directly based. - Rubricated in red and blue. On sheet 2 and 4 one painted initial and border each. This is the 1497 edition, recognizable by the signature A2 (instead of Aii as in the 1493 edition). - The title fol. (p. 1) and p. 421 - p. 424 only fragmentary (upper half recto, opened). Some weak waterstains, several marginalia in an old hand, sporadically slightly worm-marked, some small marginal tears. - Incunable. Part 1 (of 4). With 28 woodcuts.
