2 L.A.S. "Eug. Delacroix", [1849]-1861; 1 page in-8 each. About the chapel of the Holy Angels, in the church of Saint-Sulpice [decoration commissioned in August 1849, inaugurated on 21 July 1861]. Wednesday [August 1849?]. "I received notice of the commission for the chapel of St. Sulpice and would have been very eager to thank you for the friendly part you took in its success, if I were not held back by a fever with a rash on my skin which forced me to leave the Tuileries jury yesterday morning. I hope that a day or two of confinement will cure me"... August 5, 1861, to a friend [Alfred ARAGO]. "Would you be good enough to certify to Mr. Tournais to have me order the thin balance of my payment for the chapel? [...] I was very happy with your good visit to my chapel and your impression"...
