"I implore two things from your kindness: to write me as soon as possible a note in which you will tell me if the Mr. de Lasterye [Lasteyrie] with whom you saw my paintings in the Chamber is Mr. Ferdinand de Lasterye and if not, what his first name is. 2° to have the kindness to know his address and to write it to me. I hope you will tell me at the same time about your health and that of Mr Vieillard. I owe it to my confinement to get much better and to work, which is the greatest happiness in life when one can do so without getting colic at the same time...
