Handle with silver filigree (stingray missing). Chased, gilded brass mounting. Long-tail cap. Guard with four branches and shell with "Armes de France" on a bundle of flags, surrounded by oak and laurel leaves. Palmette-shaped quillon, hallmarked Versailles. Curved, flat-backed blade, marked "Manufre Rle du Klingenthal Septembre 1814", with counter-edge, hollow sides and gutters, engraved in thirds on one side: "Garde du Corps du Roi", fleurs-de-lis and military attributes; on the other side: a sun, "Armes de France" and hallmarks on the heel. Scabbard with two iron bracelets and brass cap chased with acanthus leaves. Curled sting.
