[After GOLTZIUS, Hendrik] [Hope]. First half of the 18th c Red chalk, laid paper 34,5 x 21,5 cm, watermark (unicorn with chain); not signed (faint stain to right part, upper left corner sl. stained). Stuck by upper edge. Good copy. Anonymous German (?) drawing, copy in the same direction of an engraving of 1601 by Jan Saenredam (c. 1565-1607) after Goltzius (1558-1617). Nice representation of the Virtue, seated whole-length, sitting on a large anchor and with 2 putti holding a wreath over her head. Ref. Cp. Hollstein XXIII:36:42. - Bartsch III:246:82.
