Amsterdam floor clock, marked ''Hendrik Surik - Amsterdam'' probably c. 1780, elaborately crafted mahogany case, with carvings in the head, skeletonized sound windows on the sides, applied carved bands, silvered metal dial with roman numerals, blackened dials, silvered brass, blacked out, with a silvered brass case. numerals, blackened hands, full calendar, small second under 12 o'clock, month day of the week, day and moon phase, gilt engraved disc in the center, below the dial a maritime scene, here was a moving boat which is no longer present, movement with massive anchor escapement, 1/2 hour striking mechanism on 2 bells, movement should be revised, 248 x 57 x 30cm
