Dated lower right: "May 1811". The sheet comes from the drawing pad of an unknown French artist or architect with the monogram "A.D.", who was travelling in Paris and the surrounding area at the beginning of the 19th century and devoted his attention above all to architectural features such as palaces and aqueducts. Please also see our other offers. Date: 1811 Description: Picturesque view of the former city palace of Paris near the royal residence, the Palais du Louvre. The Tuileries Palace was set on fire and destroyed during the uprising of the Paris Commune in 1871. Minimally wavy in places along the left edge of the sheet.
