The portfolio shows: I. "Char du Soleil, ou d'apollon", numbered "1039.a.N.1" at the top right; II. Below: Etching X., showing the astrological figures of Aquarius and Libra, numbered "1041.c" and "10". The figures of Gemini and Virgo are depicted in etching XI, numbered "1042.a 11", below. Finally, engraving XII shows the other 8 signs of the zodiac: Aries, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn, Taurus, Leo, Sagittarius and Pisces, numbered "1042b.12". The paper is discoloured due to age. The corners of the sheet are partially torn and creased. Isolated rubbing is visible in the image. The leaves in the centre are in better condition than the outer folder leaves. While the first and last leaves have yellowed and are slightly foxed over the entire page, the middle leaves show only scattered foxing and pages in very good colour condition. The edges are uncut and slightly wavy. There are some large liquid stains in the corners and margins: a large liquid stain in the centre of the left margin, a smaller liquid stain in the upper right corner of the sheet. The portfolio has been folded once horizontally across the centre. The illustrations make a very good impression.
