Date: Description: Chest portrait of the lawyer and diplomat Johannes Theodor Caspars facing left, looking towards the viewer. The sitter wears a moustache and wavy, shoulder-length hair, an embroidered doublet and a shirt with a white collar underneath. Carspars was Count Palatine Wolfgang Wilhelm's envoy to the Peace of Westphalia. Aubry's depiction is based on an unknown painting by Anselm Van Hule.
