A BLUE AND WHITE ‘DRAGON’ PORCELAIN BOWL, 1900s A BLUE AND WHITE ‘DRAGON’ PORCELAIN BOWL, 1900s China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The bowl rising from a short straight foot to a flaring rim, finely painted in underglaze blue with two five-clawed, sinuous dragons chasing the magic pearl amid fire and clouds to the exterior, and a medallion enclosing a dragon at the well. The recessed base with an apocryphal six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue. Provenance: German private collection. Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and minimal firing flaws.
