The globular body with well-rounded sides surmounted by a flanged neck, covered overall in a black glaze, swiftly painted on the shoulder with silvery russet strokes evoking floral sprays, the foot ring left unglazed revealing the buff ware. Provenance: New York trade. Acquired from a private estate. Condition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing flaws including firing cracks and pitting. Light surface scratches, the lip with three small chips, two with associated minor touchups.
