The guardian is shown with the head slightly turned to the left, the face with a grim expression. The right hand raised to hold a weapon and the left hand on the hip, standing on top of a recumbent ox, and dressed in an elaborate armor including a breastplate with scrolls. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Overall good condition, commensurate with age as expected from Tang dynasty excavations. Small losses, few chips, repairs to the head and neck, and soil encrustations. With remnants of pigment. Weight: 1,124 g Dimensions: Height 33 cm
