A finely modeled horse, standing foursquare with head turned, ears pricked, mouth ajar, the mane neatly swept to one side, and tail docked, with a saddle tied to the body, and with remnants of blue, red, and brown pigments. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Good condition, commensurate with age as expected from Tang dynasty excavations. Small losses, few minor chips, wear to the pigments, firing cracks, possible repairs, and soil encrustations. Weight: 3,653 g Dimensions: Height 37.4 cm
