The rectangular panel finely embroidered with courtiers in a palace garden scene surrounded by trees, phoenix, and rockwork, all framed by a brocade lotus border. The upper right reading ‘Jingu garden’. With silk lining and metal rings for suspension. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Good condition with light wear, few minuscule stains, few small tears, and loose threads, all as expected. Dimensions: Size 104.3 x 54.5 cm ‘Jingu garden’ is a poem written by the famous Tang dynasty poet Du Mu. The garden was located northeast of the present-day city of Luoyang.
