Well cast, the bronze horses standing in different poses, some grazing and other frozen mid gallop, their bodies with splashes of gilt, the manes thinly incised, and the eyes once inlaid in white porcelain. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since. Condition: Good condition with some wear, casting flaws, small nicks, light encrustations, and the inlaid eyes lost. Weight: 810 g (total) Dimensions: Length 9.7 cm (longest)
