Heavily cast, the seated Luohan nonchalantly reclining, his garments partially open, revealing his chest, a rosary in his left hand, a banana-leaf fan in his right, with a tiger facing him at his feet. Provenance: Dorotheum Vienna, 3 December 2014, lot 31 (sold for EUR 1,595 or approx. EUR 2,200 adjusted for inflation at the time of writing). From the collection of an artist and university professor in Vienna. Condition: Very good condition with surface wear and casting irregularities. Some nicks, light scratches, few losses, and abrasions. The bronze with a naturally grown patina. Weight: 870.3 g Dimensions: Length 11 cm
