A CYPRIOT BICHROME POTTERY AMPHORA, CIRCA 750-600 BC A CYPRIOT BICHROME POTTERY AMPHORA, CIRCA 750-600 BC Cypro-archaic. The bulbous body surmounted by a cylindrical neck with everted rim, set with two handles and supported on a flaring foot, painted to the exterior with broad red and black bands between sets of black lines, and the interior with a broad band over a set of black lines. Condition: Good condition with old wear, scratches, minor losses, signs of weathering, soil encrustations, and possibly with repairs. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
