A spice box in the form of a blossoming flower, each petal surmounted by a recumbent peacock with his head turned to the back, each serving as a handle and opening to reveal the compartments within. Weight: 555.8 g Dimensions: Length 11.7 cm 2. In the form of a stylized flower surmounted by a peacock on a tiered pedestal, secured by a clasp to one side, the interior housing four compartments to house ritualistic pigments and powders like kumkum (sindoor) and Chandan (sandalwood). Inscribed to the top in Devnagari, ‘Rkr. Bha. B.’ Weight: 133.8 g Dimensions: Length 8.3 cm 3. Of teardrop form, the tiered container incorporating peacocks in the design for its handles, and enclosing two compartments, one on top of the other, to house kumkum (sindoor) and chandan (sandalwood). Weight: 239.8 g Dimensions: Length 13.3 cm Provenance: Austrian private collection . Condition: Good condition with wear commensurate to age. Losses, nicks, scratches, and signs of use.
