Modeled as a mother seated above a triangular base, her left hand supporting a young child, the right resting on her knee, the face incised with almond shaped eyes and the hair tied in a high chignon. Covered in a dark brown glaze. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe. Condition: Good condition with old wear and firing irregularities, the head of the child reattached and with a minuscule chip. Weight: 206.1 g Dimensions: Height 9 cm
