A LACQUERED WOOD NETSUKE OF A MOKUGYO A LACQUERED WOOD NETSUKE OF A MOKUGYO Incised with kao Japan, 19th century Carved in the form of a mokugyo (temple bell) with a shishi head holding a tama in its mouth and terminating into a scaly fishtail. The surface partly lacquered in red, black, and yellow. Two himotoshi through the underside beside the signature. LENGTH 2.9 cm Condition: Very good condition with expected wear, mostly to the lacquer, and few light scratches.
