Of upright, rounded rectangular form, bearing a kinji ground with gold, black and colored hiramaki-e, depicting a tsuzumi drum, a fan and a hat amid prunus blossoms. The interior with a nashiji ground. With a reticulated gilt bronze ojime and a carved boxwood netsuke in form of a lotus leaf. Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, light surface scratches, few small losses to the lacquer. Provenance: From a private collection in Chicago, Illinois.
