A GOLD LACQUER FIVE-CASE INRO DEPICTING RED-CROWNED CRANES, KAJIKAWA FAMILY A GOLD LACQUER FIVE-CASE INRO DEPICTING RED-CROWNED CRANES, KAJIKAWA FAMILY By the Kajikawa family, signed Kajikawa saku with koro seal Ei Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) Of upright rounded form and oval section, bearing a fine kinji ground, worked in hiramaki-e and kirigane flakes, depicting three red-crowned cranes (tanchozuru) standing near a reed riverbank. The interior covered in fine nashiji with gold fundame rims. Signed to the base KAJIKAWA SAKU (made by Kajikawa) and the koro seal Ei in red lacquer. Condition: Good condition with minor wear, traces of use and age, small nicks and tiny losses to edges, and minor rubbing to lacquer.
