Signed Choshu Hagi ju Mitsutaka saku [Made by Mitsutaka, a resident of Hagi, Choshu Province]. DIAMETER 8 cm WEIGHT 106.7 g Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. The artist is listed in Haynes Index of Japanese Sword Fittings and Associated Artists on p. 1097 (H 05431.0). Haynes identifies the artist as the student of the Goto Seijo school who died at age 80 in 1812.
