The lower section features a deep bowl supported by four decorated feet, with the basin in a square shape accented by blue-glazed lines. Above this is a second, similarly decorated dish with an upright, thick tubular handle. The final piece, which fits into the recessed area of the second dish, is rectangular with a small handle and is painted in bright red with blue dots. DIAMETER 32.5 cm Condition: Excellent condition. With a signed wood tomobako storage box. Katsuko Nakashima, born in Osaka, Japan, in 1946, is an accomplished ceramic artist. Graduating from Osaka University of Arts in 1968, she established her own studio in Shigaraki in 1970. With a career spanning several decades, Katsuko Nakashima has made significant contributions to the field of ceramic art and has exhibited her work in various countries, captivating audiences with her mastery of the medium and artistic vision.
