Description

A CHINESE LONGQUAN DISH, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) With rounded sides and flattened rim. The interior carved and incised with a peony in a medallion in the centre, the well with a continuous flower meander, the rim with meandering scrolls. The exterior carved and incised with lotus petals between horizontal lines. The unglazed ring on the base burnt reddish in the firing. Diameter: 23 cm. Acquired in 1980
