The head has the crown of thorns and is folded toward the right shoulder, facing upwards; the soft hair falls to the shoulders, the eyes are open and turned toward sky. The legs of the Crucified Christ are positioned crossed and slightly bent forward, the feet are slightly overlapped and nailed together. The intimate parts are covered by a loincloth with a side drape.At the top of the cross, separated from the figure of Christ, there is a cartouche with the Titulus Crucis I.N.R.I. (Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudeorum, which literally translates to 'Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews'). The cartouche bears the silver and the silversmith? mark. In the lower part of the cross is the figure of the Dove of the Holy Spirit with a triangular halo, symbol of the Trinity.
