Description

Apple iPhone 4 (4th Generation, Sealed - 8GB) White Version Unopened original white Apple iPhone 4, Part No. MD198LL/A (8GB), Serial No. DNQH5XHTDPMW. The front of the box shows an image of the device’s front screen and upper left shoulder, and the back features the device’s specifications. In brand new, factory-sealed condition, with light wear to plastic, and dings to corners. The successor to the third generation iPhone 3GS, the Apple iPhone 4 was unveiled on June 7, 2010, at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, and released internationally on June 24th. Well, at least the black version did. The white model was supposed to ship alongside its black counterpart at the iPhone 4's launch, but design and manufacturing complications delayed the process by 10 months, catching Apple off guard. Earlier test models of the white iPhone 4 produced blurry photos, especially when the flash was used. Its whiteness confused the proximity sensor, which detects when the phone is held next to someone's head and turns off the touchscreen to preserve battery life and prevent apps from being opened accidentally. These issues weren't present in older iPhones that came in white because they didn't have flash photography; the proximity sensor was unaffected because the front side of previous models was black. The white iPhone 4 was released on April 28, 2011.
