HISTORY - SPAIN Philip IV of (1605 - 1665) - Letter signed Letter signed “Yo el Rey”, dated “Madrid 20.07.1621” by the King of Spain (1621 - 1665). Philip is remembered for his patronage of the arts, including such artists as Diego Velázquez, and his rule over Spain during the Thirty Years' War. Addressed to the General of the galleys of Naples and Sicily and member of the Council of War of Philip IV Antonio de la Cueva (1590 - 1652), concerning: “…la dificultad que los mis oficiales de las ditas Galeras pusieron en el cumplimientos de los decretos que aveys dado…”. 1 p.
