HISTORY - LIVINGSTON Jay (1915 - 2001) - Four autograph musical quotation signed Four autograph musical quotations signed by the American composer best known as half of a song-writing duo with Ray Evans that specialized in songs composed for films. Livingston wrote music and Evans the lyrics. Their third Oscar came in 1956 for the song "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be), " featured in the movie The Man Who Knew Too Much. Livingston pens two bars from “To Each His Own” (1946), one bar from the Christmas song “Silver Bells” (1951), two bars from the title song of “Mister Ed” (1961) and three bars from "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" (1956).
