Mahogany and mahogany veneer chest of drawers The two-panel compartmentalized sides are banded flat. The uprights are fluted and grooved at the front, and hold three drawers, two of which have no rails. It stands on a tapered turned base. Stamped on the left rear jamb by MAGNEN. White marble top molded with a small cavet. Parisian work, Louis XVI period Claude Mathieu MAGNEN was received as Master in Paris on April 17, 1771. Height 87.5 cm, width 60.5 cm, depth 37.5 cm No key, the lock fasteners of the two middle drawers are missing. Very good amateur piece of furniture.
