Small bronze sconce with watch movement by MARTINOT A watch movement by Martinot in Paris circa 1700, large three-armed balance wheel, engraved silver setting rosette. The set was encased in a cast bronze case in the Louis XV style in the 19th century. White enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals from 5 to 5 minutes. Height Height : 23 cm Repairs, transformations, rewinding. Operation not guaranteed. A very successful enhancement process in the 19th century, when the gold cases were cast and the watch movements reused for decorative purposes.
