Three-sided sloping desk with floral marquetry decoration It opens with a flap concealing a pedestal with four drawers and a double bottom in the central section. The lower section features three drawers in two rows. The unit stands on a curved base. Stamped by Jean GALET and sworn stamp on the right rear jamb. Parisian work, Louis XV period Jean Baptiste Galet was awarded the title of Master in Paris on May 13, 1754. Height 93.5 cm, width : 80 cm, depth : 44 cm The floral marquetry decoration on this piece of furniture is a late 17th-century design found in Paris workshops and used by our craftsman Galet when making this piece.
