Chiwara dance attachment mask of the Bambara - Mali, West Africa - Vertical attachment in the shape of a stylized antelope, tufts of plant fibre at the tips, small chains of glass beads at the ears and around the neck; full-surface ornamental carving. Wood. 50 x 28 x 7.5 cm. - Signs of wear, crack in the body, one horn glued, chipping to the base. - From a southern German private collection.
