Two ancestor figures of the Baule - Ivory Coast, West Africa - Female "blolo bla" and male standing figure "blolo bian" with fine scarification marks on belly, shoulders and face and with elaborate hairstyles. Wood, carved in the round. H. 73 and 79 cm. - Signs of age and wear, shrinkage cracks, the man's head with old staples. - From a southern German private collection.
