Pair of figures - China, Qing dynasty - c. 1900 - Standing figure of a woman and a man, each with a peony branch and a fan in their hands. Ivory, carved in the round from whole tusks, incised and blackened. Chenghua four-character mark in lotus blossom on the underside. H. 66.5 cm each; mounted on a modern wooden base, total h. approx. 75 cm. - Minor traces of age. - Due to the current regulations, a sale can only take place within the European Community, the required EC marketing certificate (CITES) is available.
