Bed - Venice, M. 18th century - Footboard and headboard with curved legs, the crossboard of the footboard with carved rocailles, scrollwork and landscape decoration in blue painting, the high curved headboard with carved crowning, in the upper third a mother and child in a grotto in the middle of an Arcadian landscape, the side panels also carved with landscape decoration. Solid walnut, painted in blue and polychrome. 132 x 113 x 196 cm. - Age damage, the blue painting improperly overpainted in places.
