Weiss, Claire (Klára Herczeg) - Young lady with hat - (Budapest 1906-1997 ibid.) Design around 1931 for Goldscheider, Vienna. Woman striding on an oval plinth with her arm on her hip and her head tilted to the side, the floor-length, slit, grey dress with stylized rose decoration and a large dark red bow on the back. Ceramic, painted in polychrome. Inscribed "Claire Weis" to the side, on the base manufacturer's mark, "Made in Austria" and model no. "6447 / 24 / 11". H. 27 cm. - Glaze cracks, small chips. - Lit. R.E. Dechant/F. Goldscheider: catalog raisonné, model no. 6447 - Vollmer 2+6.
