Pair of Neoclassical candlesticks - Nuremberg, c. 1820/30 - Johann Samuel Schoenberg (master before 1805, died 1852). On a stepped, round foot, the shaft base designed as a pedestal with two applied, antique-style female figures, conical spout with leaf frieze, gadrooned eave bowl. Silver. On the plinth master's mark "S" in a shield, fineness mark "13" lot and town mark. H. 22 cm; total weight 430 g. - Nuremberg goldsmith's art MZ 0812, BZ 51.
