Small lidded box - Nuremberg, around 1800 - Andreas Mangold (Mstr. 1792-1830). Oval with flower engraving, on the lid. Pedestal with flower garland. Silver. At the bottom inspection mark, master's mark "AM", preceding letter "K" for Wolfgang Schubert (1799-1803) and tremolier mark. 1.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm; 20 g. Cf. Nuremberg goldsmith's art MZ0553, VB18K.

Gering (19)17" and titled and inscribed ""Zur Ernte" Orig. Steinzeichnung" on the left, minimal traces of soiling, wide-margined copy, was never framed, image dimensions approx. 23 x 30.5 cm, sheet dimensions approx. 44.5 x 57.5 cm. Artist information: German painter and graphic artist (1892 Nuremberg - 1957 Nuremberg), attended the Kunstgewerbeschule in Nuremberg, from 1917 studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich under Carl Johann Becker-Gundahl, buried and wounded in World War 1. The experiences of the war left their mark on his work, study trips to Serbia and Macedonia, worked as a drawing teacher in Nuremberg from 1920-57, civil servant from 1927 and appointed as a teacher in 1927, member of the Association of Nuremberg Artists and Craftsmen and the Nuremberg Secession, source: Vollmer, AKL, Nuremberg Artists' Encyclopaedia, register of the Academy in Munich and Wikipedia.

Dutch harbour scene around 1800 At a bend in the river a castle with a small docking area for loading ships, sailors and various boats passing by on the water, with lovingly designed staffage of people and animals, according to the flags on the large sailor Holland, flat marine painting in muted colours, oil on canvas, around 1800, illegible handwritten annotations on the reverse of the stretcher and on the frame label from the framing ("Kunsthandlung F. W. Nickel Nürnberg"), varnish darkened, craquelure and retouches, relined canvas, framed, rebate dimensions approx. 33 x 41 cm.
