Wax stick holder - Nuremberg, c. 1730 - Georg Daniel Weiß (Mstr. 1706-49). In the shape of an oval lidded box standing on its top on a gadrooned base ring, ribbon handles to the sides, the rims decorated with a continuous ribbon decoration on a chased ground. Silver. Hallmarked with hallmark and master's mark "GDW". H. 7, 6 cm; 63 g. - Cf. Nuremberg goldsmith's art MZ0940.
