Baroque lidded box with enamel medallion - Augsburg, c. 1690-95 - Johann Haltenwanger (Mstr. 1684-1734). Octagonal body over a flared base with eight lenticular feet, hinged lid, pinched rims; chased decoration of fruit and flower bundles on all sides, oval medallion set into the lid with a depiction of Juno in a peacock chariot painted in purple. Silver with gilding. Marked on the rim with master's mark "IH". 7 x 13.5 x 12 cm; gross 226 g. - Seling 146+1802.
